Great job guys. However, I get some video stuttering and audio skips during the closing credits – right after the key change in the song when it shows Madoka running. Just an FYI, thanks for subbing!

I vastly, vastly prefere your version over any other, been waiting for your releases up until now. However, the last episode (in case it airs on schedule) will certainly explode all over the internet. Is there any chance you’ll be doing an extra shift for this occasion, or do I have to watch gg’s version for the immediate fix before the internet shoves spoilers up my ass? Just wondering though, you guys did an amazing job on this, I hope you’ll sub a nice anime of the upcoming spring season.

Thanks for the release. Can’t wait for the TS versions of 8, 9 and 10.

Incredible episode. And I just had to laugh: inexperienced Homura runs like a girl!!

Love your translations (some things make so much more sense now). Hate your typesetter (poor layout, and insulting about it as well).
Hate having to remux (because of the compression problem that persists, which prevents opening the video in AegisSub), then manually fix the entire subtitle stream just to have something pleasant to watch.
Not that I don’t appreciate the work. As long as it takes me to fix the subtitles, I know it took quite a bit longer to put the originals in in the first place. But still annoying.

All of a sudden, you guys gained lightspeed. 3 episodes in one weekend?
Still waiting on TSes of episodes after 7 though…
Bachstelze on March 14th, 2011 at 3:33 pm
2:12 was the only interesting part of this episode.
Kine on March 14th, 2011 at 8:12 pm
Addendum: I mixed up which files I was working with. It’s only the TS files that need to be remuxed; the new non-TS files are fine.
Jorlem on March 14th, 2011 at 9:27 pm
Thank you!
I noticed what appears to be a missing comma at 20:16. The line currently read ” Transformed Madoka was really amazing.” It seems to me that it sounds like there should be a comma after ‘Transformed.’ Might just be me though.
anyways, still waiting for the TS versions, any news about it?? >.<

Madoka Magica series script supervisor Gen Urobuchi apologized to everyone waiting to see the anime, but said that he is relieved for the delay. He explained that the anime studio SHAFT would work to the last minute on every episode — just hours before the first airing of each episode on Thursday evening (early Friday morning) in the Kanasai area on MBS. The creation of drawings for episodes 11 and 12 has been difficult, and Urobuchi thinks that airing episode 11 in the form that it is now would be “disappointing.” Urobuchi and producer Atsuhiro Iwakami agree that the extra time will allow the staff to do their best.
Pawprint on March 16th, 2011 at 2:32 pm
@Jorlem: Transformed is in this case an adjective modifying Madoka, the same as if you were to say “poor Madoka” or “green Madoka.” You are trying to interpret it as a short version of “Once transformed, Madoka was really amazing,” which is also correct, but not what I believe yesy was going for.
Jorlem on March 16th, 2011 at 3:57 pm
@Pawprint: I think I see what you are getting at. However, it still doesn’t read quite right to me. Maybe if there was a ‘the’ at the beginning, to indicate that it is this specific type of Madoka that is being described?
“The transformed Madoka was really amazing.”
If I swap out Madoka for some other proper noun, Sony for example, I think it becomes a lot easier to spot.
“Transformed Sony was really amazing.”
“The transformed Sony was really amazing.”
Anyway, I suppose this is the kind of thing one would encounter while translating a language with an extremely different set of grammatical rules. Thanks again for the awesome translations, yesy!

Well, this one confirmed the theroy I’ve had since episode 6.

episode 11 might air on March 31
will you still release TS versions of episodes 8,9, and 10? i really really like to download the medium quality versions now but i hate to download twice and still waiting patiently for the TS versions. >.<
it’s kinda frustrating waiting for the TS versions. >.<
Arcturus on March 23rd, 2011 at 9:19 am
They might not have been able to get TS for those episodes. I am far from being knowledgeable about the subject, but I remember reading somewhere that the golden age of TS distribution is over and now the groups have to scramble to get them. I could be wrong though. That we haven’t seen them though by now, might be a bad sign.
Now we have to wait another month for the BD’s.

Well, I dont know if you guys care enough, but the math problem at 2:13 was transcribed wrong. [ the (1+p)^p should be (1+n)^p ]. I only realized this because i, sadly enough, tried to solve it, and after a few minutes, proved it impossible, then I looked at the japanese portion and went oh. Like I said, probably no one cares enough because no one else will probably try to solve this random problem lol.
omg I’ve been refreshing the page all day for this <3
This episode was amazing, probably the best yet. Very dark, but explains so much. Many thanks.
I can only hope this show doesn’t screw up the ending.
Thanks!
LOVE this ep!! will wait for TS
This isn’t episode 8 (TS)
*waits in agony*
so is there any news as to when the TS version will be released?
anyways, thanks for the good job as always ^^
Thanks for your release! Great reason to watch this amazing episode once again.
There’s a minor error in formula @ 2:12
